About the game
In Spin Commander, players have to get out of their usual comfort zones and actually move their bodies around. The goal of the game is to push away the enemies and survive as long as you can.
By spinning around in circular movements, the player can rotate the black arrow on the screen. The gyroscope or compass of the device are used to determine the orientation of the player. By tapping the screen the arrow shoots bullets which are used to push away incoming enemies. From time to time different power-ups can be collected which boost the fire mode.
The game is divided into 10 stages. With each stage the difficulty increases significantly until in the last stage the player gets confronted with an infinity mode where a timer records the player’s high score. Spin Commander also comes with a cooperative network multiplayer mode in which two players get to remote control the avatar on the partner’s phone. A complete run of Spin Commander takes about 5 minutes. The short play duration and the achievements encourage to increase the personal score and compete with friends.
